Here are some of the ways I make a living away from my travel blog:
Copywriting - I spend much of my time writing articles, newsletter and website content. You can view a few samples of my work on the Portfolio page. As you will see, much of it is nothing to do with travel! Check back for updates as I add published material when permitted to do so (some of my work is for internal corporate use only).
Presentations and speeches – I love speaking in public. I know that this might mark me out as a freak to some, but it is something I genuinely enjoy. I have spoken in front of groups of up to 300, using anything from unaided sound to a full AV stage with auto-cue. I can speak with passion about any aspect of travel, and can bring life to a subject you wish to present to an audience, either by creating my own script or working with your existing material.
Small business consulting - I work with a number of small companies and provide a range of business advice. Whether it is help with setting up a social media strategy or a critique of a business plan, I strive to offer honest and constructive feedback to help a business through its early stages. With twenty years of business experience, including several years at senior management and board level and a recently completed MBA, I can offer a friendly and valuable service to my clients.
