On my visit to New York last year, I was constantly surprised and delighted by the amount of great public art I saw there. In fact, a year later, some of my favourite memories of NY are not of skyscrapers and famous tourist attractions but simply discovering and enjoying the hidden attractions of that great city. And New York's public art is among the best hidden attractions. Discovering public art in the most unexpected places is one of the joys of travel.
